About Justin Choi
Hello! My name is Justin. I was a Computer Science student in University of Manitoba, graduating back in May 2021, and currently I am a Software Developer in the IQmetrix Enterprise Service Team!The first program I wrote was to draw a bicycle using Processing back when I was taking COMP 1010 in my first year at University of Manitoba. I had struggled a lot during that time since I didn’t have any previous coding experience. I had read the textbook and tried to figure everything out. When I finished building it, I felt so excited and proud of myself. This turned out to be one of my OMG-YES moments to keep motivating and encouraging me during my CS journey.While I’m not coding, I love hanging out with friends at coffee shops or to read books in bookstores like Chapters. In Winnipeg, my favourite two coffee shops are Forth and Thom Bargen. I love walking, jogging, and running. One of my life goals is to finish running the Full Marathon (42 km). I love trying new things as well! I was part of an Indonesian traditional dance group in Canada. I tried (and learnt) snowboarding and ice skating. And now, I'm learning how to plant my little peperomia in my room during this COVID-19 period.Feel free to message or connect me if you have any question.
