Experienced start-up manufacturing professional who has been a key contributor in the success of many start-up companies: Glowforge, Inboard, and Alta Motors. Ability to function in start-up environment where rapid change and a lack of manufacturing support systems does not yet exist and where each individual must wear multiple hats to accomplish company milestones during design phases. As an experience manufacturing professional I've served in various job roles as: manufacturing, process, sustaining, quality, industrial, test, and field service engineer; production trainer and technical content writer; project coordinator.Work experience includes: new product introductions (NPI); development of production/assembly lines; writing standard operating procedures (SOPs); performing time/motion & ergonomic studies; optimizing processes; applying cost reductions. Hands-on experience in: printed curcuit board assembly (PCBA); electro-mechanical assembly; wiring harness & cable assembly; electric motor and battery pack assembly; integration testing of hardware and software; non-conformance material dispositions (NCM/MRB); configuration control & change management. Implementation of Lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, JIT, Poka-yoke, along with problem solving tools of DMAIC and 5 Whys.I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with other engineers. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite stage of a project is working with the client or business unit leader to understand his or her business objectives. As we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow and that’s always the fun part.I have an B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Management from North Dakota State University. I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues, managers, or just interesting creative folk, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.
