Husband, Father, Veteran, and Cannabis Advocate. Cannabis helped save me from the man I was becoming following deployment. This path I was walking was not righteous by any means- riddled with drugs, alcohol - and was bound to send me to an early grave. Cannabis allowed me to quit all other substances completely - without even the slightest withdrawal symptoms. While scratching the itch to be "not sober" it also had many ancillary benefits. It allowed me to start healing mentally. Which then turned into truly being able to evaluate my priorities. Cultivation sparked a passion inside of me that could not be extinguished. So as a reformed addict, and father to be- I set out to return to school for horticulture. After finishing at FLCC with a 4.0 and a handful of awards- I was ECSTATIC to be accepted into Cornell for Plant Science. I was fortunate enough to work under MANY great minds, which helped me to learn a great deal. I was also put into many situations in which I was forced to self reflect and decide what I wanted to do- which really was to cultivate and help people. So I began to podcast with high school buddy Steve VanDeWalle, and Cannabis Cum Laude was formed. After a time we had slightly different visions for our directions, and I stepped aside in an effort to form my current Company- ErbaQuest LLC. ErbaQuest is an event listing app, as well as a brand directory- whose home base is in NY. We also have a podcast in which we cover an array of topics! As we set off on our adventure to develop an event listing app for the cannabis space- time quickly began to disappear- and I was confronted with the decision of whether to continue the necessary work to start a business, or to stay in school which included an hour commute 1 way. With a then 2 year old son, continuing both was simply not an option. So I am currently on a leave of absence from Cornell.
