 Successfully managed a comprehensive Student Life program including Student Activities, Student Government, Intramurals, and Clubs/Organizations. Successful management of 150 campus events annually, a student driven strategic plan, a freshman experience component, a successful marketing plan, and an involvement in college governance committees. Led diversity efforts on campus including development of cultural programs, advocacy initiatives, recruitment and retention efforts of underserved and underrepresented populations, and the development of a Latin X Student Ambassador program. Effectively managed multiple college general fund and auxiliary budgets. Successfully worked within challenging budget times and managed bond payments, grant funded programs, auxiliary and state funding. Efficiently managed a comprehensive Residence Life and Food Service program to serve 142 residents. Construction oversight of a new residence life facility which expanded the opportunities for campus life. Oversight of the Student Conduct process for the institution. Provided leadership and oversight for Residence Life Judicial Council and authored the Student Rights, Freedoms, and Responsibilities. Implemented Title IX and Clery Act training on campus. Served as the Chairperson for the CARE Team (Threat Assessment), Student Services Council, Coordinator of Graduation Ceremonies, Chairperson of Diversity Council, and Adjunct Professor in Human Development, Political Science, and Performing Arts. Successfully supervised the Athletic Department including the oversight of 10 programs. Served as the Men’s Assistant Basketball Coach (2003-2006). Specialized in the development of high academic standards, leadership and character development, and team dynamics.

 Successfully coordinated the efforts of over forty clubs/organizations in the planning and implementation phases of college programming which included work with purchasing, fundraising, contractual negotiation, and media relations. Successfully guided the efforts of a 25 member Student Activities/Government organization through the comprehensive process of planning and executing activities, working with legislative affairs, the governance of $400,000 student funds and calendar development. Executed and managed two capital projects including remodeling Student Union facilities which resulted in an increase in student involvement and participation. Assisted with the management of Student Conduct and oversight of Campus Safety program developing training programs for the campus.

 Effectively supervised and managed the Tacoma site/center of City University including supervision, hiring, evaluation, training, and professional development of multiple employees. Successfully worked with business and industry to create articulation agreements with corporations including Boeing, Weyerhaeuser and the US Army. Recruited and maintained strong relationships with a diverse student population including on-site and distance education programs for undergraduate and graduate programs.  Assisted students with instructional design, financial aid, veteran’s affairs, evaluation of transfer credit, and career planning through various degree programs.
