Leading the nation's largest state-owned electric utility whose mission is to lead the transition to a carbon-free, economically vibrant New York through customer partnerships, innovative energy solutions, and the responsible supply of affordable, clean and reliable electricity.Since Driscoll took over as President and CEO in October 2021, NYPA has made tremendous strides toward New York’s nation-leading clean energy goals:-Transmission: The Authority is helping unbottle New York’s growing renewable energy resources through large-scale transmission projects such as Smart Path, Smart Path Connect, Clean Path New York, and Central East Energy Connect, all of which will have a dramatic and lasting effect on New York’s decarbonization efforts. -Solar and storage: NYPA is an advisor and project manager to the Javits Center on the largest single-rooftop solar array in Manhattan, which will also house a state-of-the-art battery system, as well as the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision’s 30-megawatt portfolio. -Buildings: NYPA, in partnership with the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, will work with two leading technology manufacturers to design and install innovative heat pumps at NYCHA facilities with an initial investment of $70 million for 30,000 apartments. -Financial: Sale of $608 million in green bonds to support two transmission projects (Smart Path and Central East Energy Connect). -Broadband: Leveraging its existing communications infrastructure to allow for affordable broadband deployment in four counties, NYPA hopes to expand this pilot, as part of Governor Hochul’s $1 billion ConnectALL initiative, to bring broadband to more communities. -Labor: Five-year contract with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, a labor union representing more than 570 electricians, line persons and other skilled craft employees at NYPA.

Oversee all legal matters on behalf of utility with $3 billion in revenues from 6,250 megawatts of generation assets and 1,400 miles of transmission. Provide strategic counsel to the CEO, Board of Trustees, senior executives and the Governor’s Office regarding the Authority’s industry leading role in renewable energy project development, land based and offshore transmission, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and energy storage. Lead wholesale power market and regulatory efforts. Also lead the Company’s FERC hydropower licensing, legislative and government relations activity. Formulate the Authority’s litigation strategy.
