This is a Sales Engineer position supporting sales enablement in the pre-sales and post-sales phases. I am responsible for more sales-oriented duties such as establishing and implicating pain points with prospective customers, but also technical duties such as discussing network/cloud/SaaS/email infrastructure with potential customers to determine most useful coverage areas for Darktrace's suite of cybersecurity products. I work with the prospect to then deploy the products in the prospect's environments. I run Proofs of Value / Proofs of Concept with the prospect, showcasing the products and teaching/assisting the customer with using the tool to investigate real potential cybersecurity incidents, which involves triaging, analysis, and remediation. Post sale, I work with the customer to onboard them with our products and ensure they are knowledgeable about day-to-day use of the tools. I explain the technical aspects and workflow to customers, and I work in the customer's real deployment, answering questions, investigating incidents, providing technical support, enabling third party integrations, and training the users. I also run and manage upsell Proof of Values to drive further sales. Additionally, I travel on-site with prospective and current customers when possible to establish and maintain good working relationships.This requires an understanding of cybersecurity best practices, cybersecurity incident analysis and management, sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC, pre and post-sales customer management, and knowledge of network, email, and cloud fundamentals.

Using concepts from the popular passphrase concept of Diceware, I personally developed python scripts to generate passphrases pulling from large datasets to use in future studies.
