Experienced structural steel detailer, modeler, and checker. I also act as the project manger from start to finish once a project is secured. I directly communicate with general contractors through email, phone, and on site. I create a structural model from the ground up using SDS/2. Both engineering and architectural drawings are thoroughly searched and followed. I deal with all questions through the overall approval process or RFI process. All approval, field erection, and shop fabrication drawings are created from the model to instill accuracy and consistency. thought is put into every field connection for ease of install and materials for faster shop fabrication. All accessories are orders are also created by me including anchor bolt lists, field bolt lists, deck lists, etc. On a daily basis I am detailing structural members, to stairs and railing, to roof top unit supports, and dumpster gates. All is within my scope of work. Once my drawings are done, the final step is being as supportive as possible during the field install. I personally care for this step of the process because it is the result of all the steps before being done right. My goal is not to just have accurate drawings but to have a fast and flawless install from approvals to the last field weld.
