Justin Emslie BCom(Honours) CA(SA) SAICA, Registered Tax Practitioner Justin attained his Chartered Accountant (SA) certification in 2002 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce including Accounting and Commercial Law majors.Justin's expertise include building and managing teams including service based industries such as Accounting and Consulting practices, through to current role as Director Finance for a local University. This experience includes developing organisational and operational strategy and related planning, business development and opportunity identification, team and skills selection and implementation of relevant technologies. Justin's career has further included compilation and review of financial statements, together with tax consultation across various tax types for individuals and corporations. He has compiled financial statement applying full IFRS, with successful audit outcomes. He further has extensive experience over many years in compilation, review and interpretation financial statements for SMME clients. Recent successful projects include the design and implementation of IFRS 9 methodologies on complex receivable data and other newer IFRS areas including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 for leases. He has extensive experience in asset-based reporting applying public sector accounting standards and IAS 16. Justin has managed audit processes on behalf of the auditee in complex audits covering multiple audit and other assurance aspects. In so doing introduced methods to ensure successful outcomes as achieved.Justin heads oversight structures reviewing compliance, performance and financial reporting across private and public sector entities. He heads audit committees for various entity forms within the public sector.
