Dr. Justin Gorham is a research chemist and the group leader of the Nanomaterials Research group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Currently, Dr. Gorham’s research interests are in promoting the development of validated methods for detecting/quantifying microplastic and nanoplastic particles in complex media; advancing the measurement science and development of protocols for evaluating new materials in consumer products during use; and supporting the optimization of surface chemical analysis of complex materials especially using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
