Serve as public spokesperson for organization; deliver presentations to national groups, government, corporations, and foundations and coordinate marketing efforts.Significant Accomplishments:Founded and direct environmental non profit that creates innovative community based responses to New York City’s environmental issues. Secured funding of launch of program. Developed nationally recognized community composting effort. Worked with city agencies to secure land and funding for development of two mid-scale composting sites that compost over 2 million lbs each year and assist 300 local community groups in greening efforts. Piloted composting technology selected by City for use in composting facilities. Overhauled operation of building material reuse center increasing revenue by 25%. Secured ongoing donations of materials from corporate donors. Selected and implemented cloud based retail system. Established outreach program for NYC’s organics waste collection program which directly interact with over 75,000 New York City residents annually. Launched street tree care program in partnership with New York City Council Members that in two years has mobilized over 2000 volunteers to take care of 1500 street tree beds.
