I am passionate about safety, both for employers as well as employees. I have found that both parties are their own worst enemies when it comes to safety in the work place. ALM Safety advocates for both sides to find common ground and make sure both parties are protected.

I learned a lot from Mr Dean Toi as well as all the technicians and other staff employed at Dean Toi (Pty) Ltd and will always advocate for them should any company contact me looking for a supplier in the plastics recycling filed.

I was responsible for handling all warranty claims for McCarthy Ford The Glen. I really enjoyed my time in this role as learning the motro trade was very exciting. Unfortunately, I had to find permanent employment as the contract was only for a year.

I was responsible for health and safety on site when the guys were working. We erected our own scaffolding as well as grinding and welding. We worked at heights and in dangerous areas. I had to setup and maintain the safety file as well as attending daily safety site meetings. I was trained in working at heaights as well as scaffold erection. I was retrenched due to budget cuts.

I was responsible for new sales and customer retention when there was a problem. I was outbound sales and on the road. I enjoy working with people and helping in times of need, but unfortunately I left for more lucrative oppurtunity.

I was an outbound sales person and my responsiblities included procuring new busniness as well as looking after current clients. Client meetings and supplier meetings were an everyday norm. I would also sit in the showroom once a week to help any customers that walked into the showroom. I would also deliver and collect samples and maintain pricing for cutomers. Customer care was big in this industry and we had to maintain strict time lines in terms of delivery.We also mcustom made furniture so we dealt with metal worker, wood workers and upholstery suppliers.

I was employed on a contarct basis to be a contract manager. I was responsible for 11 staff members. We housed products for different companies in different locations and as we received orders from our client we would pick the orders, pack the orders and ship them off to our centrall HUB to go out for delivery the following day.

WIth in this company, I performed many different functions. These functions included, but not limited to the following: East Rand branch operations manager, East Rand Sales Person, North Rand Operations Manager, East Rand Client Liaison and Plant manager. My last position over the almost 5 years that I was with the company was that off Plant Manager for the water purification plant. I went into this position without knowing how a water purification plant ran. I was able to teach myself how to operate and fix the plant. WHilst in charge we hit record numbers and was able to bring in a smaller plant to produce small bottles of water. We had to teach ourselves how to work and fix this plant as well. I was responsilbe for overtime, building maintenance, staff training as well as health and safety. THis was my most enjoyable job that I had, but there were factors that came into play that lead to a conflict and resulted in me parting ways with the company.

I started at Nestle waters in the position of credit control. I then moved into customer service, which compromised of me answering calls and taking orders for customers for the next 2 days delivery. We sorted out account queries, but mostly was non delivery quries. I was also given the task of managing the hygiene team. I would schedule service on water machines and inform cuctomers of when the services would take place. I would also then schedule emergency services for the customers. I would also do deliveries if they were not able to schedule emergency deliveries.
