Senior Finance Manager, Power SystemsFinning (Canada) Jul 2015 - Feb 2017CaIn this role, I was accountable for providing financial reporting and guidance to the Power Systems senior leadership team and supporting branch personnel. This unit was responsible for over $250 million in revenues and 300+ employees.During this time period, I prepared and recommended financial analysis regarding our facility and rental fleet utilization, as well as contributed on multiple Request For Proposal (RFPs) to larger oil and gas customers. We were able to significantly reduce our fixed costs, facility footprint and rental utilization over a one and a half year period. In the fall of 2016, we were able to successfully bid on multiple RFPs that together will generate in excess of $10 million in gross revenues.I was tasked with managing inventory via approving inventory orders, monitoring stock levels and providing financial guidance on deal structure. In a six month window, we were able to liquidate a significant portion of aging inventory and improve revenue and inventory ordering process accuracy by a factor of two.To develop the talent pipeline in the finance department, I was nominated on a team of two to map out our CPA pre-approved program and obtained approval from the CPA office in the summer of 2016. I was on the selection committee to hire the first candidate beginning in spring 2017. -

This required effective communication and strong financial acumen to be able to have value-added conversations with corporate senior leaders. I was also selected to be a member of "Project Vector" which was a company-wide cost saving initiative. My role was finance lead on a team ranging from 4 to 10 core members. We were responsible for identifying the opportunities, developing engagement with over 25 key stakeholders in an organization of over 5,000 and monitoring its successful implementation. Ultimately the project resulted in over $100 million in cost savings in 2015 and over $200 million in a three year span. This project was a a category winner for project management in 2016 at the Project Management Institute Northern Alberta Chapter (PMINAC) awards. -
