ReRx Therapeutics is developing small molecule therapeutics to treat obesity, type 2 diabetes, MAFLD/MASH, and other severe metabolic diseases exploding worldwide. Developed at UC Berkeley, pre-clinical studies in mice show that a once-daily, oral lead compound ReRx-001 dramatically decreases obesity and related metabolic co-morbidities. Importantly, ReRx-001, has a distinct mechanism of action synergizing with current market leading anti-obesity therapeutics such as semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy/Rybelsus) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound). Fusion Fund invests in early-stage startups that bring foundational technology to large markets across three broad categories: healthcare tech, enterprise network, and industrial automation.The fellowship provides an in depth look at the venture investing process and training in deal sourcing, due diligence, deal negotiation, and portfolio management.

The PhD Track is designed to assist PhDs who are interested in commercializing ideas as founders. Engaged with guest speakers (investors, PhD founders, startup operators) and participated in sessions to help founders scale their projects and equip with the skills to raise first capital.

The research aims to understand glucocorticoids, which are steroid hormones involved in anti-inflammatory responses and energy homeostasis, through elucidating glucocorticoid receptor (GR) pathway.

- Assisted with creating and organizing product portfolio roadmap, outlining project development plans and strategic visions- Supported external expenses data gathering and input for the long range plan to aid senior management in decision making and prioritization- Communicated and contributed in cross functional collaborative team environment- Presented at Development Operations Summer Intern Poster Session on summer project ("From the Bottom Up: A Cross Functional Approach to Building a Long Range Plan")

As a summer intern for San Ramon Rotary and San Ramon Valley Education Foundation (SRVEF) from 2014 to 2016, worked to organize annual online auction for education and raised over $280k+ for SRVEF over three-year period.

- Started as a volunteering opportunity since 2011 (served approx. 500 hours) and offered a part-time paid position in 2013- Supervised and tutored Pre-K to 5th grade students; assisted with language art, science and math homework- Assisted in enrichment curriculum preparation for summer camp and chaperoned students during field trips
