Ensures the timely repair and upkeep of all production equipment at a $45+ million company overseeing a team of heavy equipment mechanics. Responsible for team of full-time heavy equipment mechanic's, assign and schedule work duties, supervise mechanics to ensure quality of work and timely repairs, hire, train and discharge staff. Maintain a daily log of events and discussions that affect productivity of staff and equipment. Monitor inventory to ensure part availability for all production equipment. Maintain open communication with product vendors and manufactures to ensure timely deliveries of parts and equipment. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, tire expenditures, heavy equipment maintenance, waste oil disposal and bulk order deliveries. Daily building inspections, Daily Vehicle Inspection Report Sheets (DVIRS) and task training per MSHA requirements. Keep record of and ensure proper waste disposal of filters, coolant, oil, etc., following proper procedures for spill contamination per DEP requirements.

Responsible for daily checks of a fleet of tractor trailers and dump trucks, weekly tire surveys and inventory of parts, maintenance, major repairs, welding, fabrication, electrical diagnostics and deligated work for a crew of four mechanics.

Scheduled maintenance and major repairs on a fleet of dump trucks and tractor trailers. Gained experience with welding, fabrication, and heavy truck diagnostics.
