• Utilized custom built time-of-flight mass spectrometer and velocity map imaging (VMI) apparatus to characterize multiple molecules and rovibronic coupling through metastable intermediate states, and effects of clustering molecules on expected photodetachment angular distributions• Experiments utilized ultra-high vacuum systems, Class IV YAG laser, nanosecond dye laser (250-740 nm) and optics, pulsed high voltage electrical systems, oscilloscope, and synced via pulse delay generator, ab initio calculations.• Designed, implemented and achieved significant resolution improvements (VMI) instrumentation, expertise in electromagnetic fields and ion optics, MCP/phosphor screen detectors, basic circuit design, data acquisition and processing. Total improvement by an order of magnitude, supported with Simion8 ion and electron optics simulator results.• Oversaw and guided visiting high school students (STARS program) and undergraduates from nearby universities to develop, write, and present self-contained research projects.
