I worked on the flagship application Decision Grid. Decision Grid was written using Ruby on Rails, Haml, Ember with Ember Data and CoffeeScript.I helped implement a major import feature that was integrated with Facebook and Twitter via PathAR. I also worked on a prototype import of phone call logs, a system wide optimization allowing lazy loading of large text fields and a back -up and restore application.

In less than four months at DJP we developed a prototype application known as SARCOP, ported an existing android application to a PhoneGap and released it on iPhone, created a web application for police officers to fill out crash reports, created a proof of concept voice license plate entry system, and worked on creating iLinics 2.0 which was a ground up rewrite of the original iLinics. We also maintained an iPhone and Android application “MealTeca”. All with a team consisting of 3 full time developers including myself and a part time artist. I helped port an android application to HTML using PhoneGap and jQuery Mobile. I also fixed all outstanding issues with the rails backend.I helped create SARCOP from idea to application that was demoed live in less than month. It was written using HTML with PhoneGap, jQuery Mobile and used Ruby on Rails on the server side.We developed InfoCrash which was a system that allowed police officers to fill out an Ohio State crash form from their in car computer and to digitally submit it to the state. In addition the system could generate a PDF of the information filled out on the state form. I worked with the team to setup software development processes. After I was hired we switched to a Scrum variant known as Scrumban and started practicing Test Driven Development. I helped educate team members on TDD, and helped get them up to speed with Ruby, Rails, GIT, and Javascript.

As senior software engineer I was in charge of all software engineering efforts at ISC.We developed a web-based front end for Geoserver using GWT and Openlayers called Helm!I rapidly developed a demo version of an emergency and disaster dashboard software called Encompass. Encompass was written in GWT, Java, and used PostgresSQL with Postgis.I worked with customers to formulate requirements and worked with a graphic artist to create a graphically attractive and functional user interface for Encompass.I worked with the graphic artist and helped teach him HTML, CSS, GWT, who later became a software developer. I initially performed maintenance and bug fixes on RDAC and later worked with contractors to preform maintenance tasks and confirmed bug fixes with testers.

Led the development of RDAC, a desktop GIS application, and a medical simulation project.Successfully grew the engineering team to 14 members and implemented Scrum and TDD processes.
