Senior Software EngineerDjp Limited Jun 2013 - Jan 2014In less than four months at DJP we developed a prototype application known as SARCOP, ported an existing android application to a PhoneGap and released it on iPhone, created a web application for police officers to fill out crash reports, created a proof of concept voice license plate entry system, and worked on creating iLinics 2.0 which was a ground up rewrite of the original iLinics. We also maintained an iPhone and Android application “MealTeca”. All with a team consisting of 3 full time developers including myself and a part time artist. I helped port an android application to HTML using PhoneGap and jQuery Mobile. I also fixed all outstanding issues with the rails backend.I helped create SARCOP from idea to application that was demoed live in less than month. It was written using HTML with PhoneGap, jQuery Mobile and used Ruby on Rails on the server side.We developed InfoCrash which was a system that allowed police officers to fill out an Ohio State crash form from their in car computer and to digitally submit it to the state. In addition the system could generate a PDF of the information filled out on the state form. I worked with the team to setup software development processes. After I was hired we switched to a Scrum variant known as Scrumban and started practicing Test Driven Development. I helped educate team members on TDD, and helped get them up to speed with Ruby, Rails, GIT, and Javascript.
