•Responsible for all aspects of emergency management and Emergency Operations Planning (EOP) for the City of Mankato; Serve on Blue Earth County Emergency Management team and work with regional partners to ensure preparedness. •Administer and manage internal affairs program and investigate allegations of police misconduct. Responsible for all aspects of case management and analysis for complex investigations ranging from misdemeanor to felony-level severity. •Developed and implemented departmental training academy for new officers; facilitate training academy, procedures, curriculum development, and schedule through role as PTO Training Coordinator and Police Training Sergeant.•Directs, plans, assigns, and schedules work of police officers and other public safety personnel; evaluates employee performance and conducts performance evaluations of police officers. •Oversee and manage field activities within a defined geographic area; to include workflow, resource deployment, & crime analysis. •Serve as Police Training Officer (PTO) for new Full-Time Licensed Police Officers; as Police Training Sergeant, supervise and monitor PTO’s and trainees to assess program functionality during police training process to ensure program compliance.•Authored paper for the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Community Policing Award, which resulted in department award recognizing the City of Mankato as the top city in the world for community policing in population category.•Experience in Security Awareness and Counterterrorism and serve as lead trainer within the department; work with area schools and businesses regarding threat assessments, risk analysis, and behavior detection to safeguard public.•Respond to incidents involving breach of security or tampering of properties and provide services and physical security assessment to mitigate further occurrences; experienced in Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED).
