I was a tour guide based in the Arctic outpost of Coldfoot, Alaska. Coldfoot is one of the remotest on-road tour locations in all of Alaska. I lived year-round in this wilderness truckstop/work camp and worked as a tour guide. In this capacity, I professionally operated a tour van (no safety violations or accidents) containing up to 14 guests. In collaboration with other guides, I shepherded tour groups of up to 40 guests through tour experiences including the Arctic Circle Air Adventure (cultural tour), Arctic Mountain Safari (sightseeing drive), Koyukuk River Float (rafting trip) and Arctic Village Aurora tour (night-time northern lights viewing tour). This position required me to have excellent interpersonal and guest-care skills, impeccable time management, and complete control of all relevant scientific and historical information about Alaska's arctic mountains/boreal forest.

Postmaster of Coldfoot CPU 99709 (independently-contracted post office operated by private business Sukakpak, Inc.), and Notary Public for Coldfoot, Wiseman and the Greater Koyukuk Area. Handled all incoming and outgoing mail for a few small communities spread over a large, very rural area of Northern Alaska. Assisted customers with selection and purchase of postal services. Sorted and delivered mail. Handled all clerical work associated with the Contract Postal Unit--including bookkeeping and mailing of deposits. Provided notary services for members of the community. Served as an election official (the CPU was an "absentee in-person" polling place) during the 2014 local and state election.

For four summers, I was the primary music teacher at TBA's Performing Arts Academy. Teaching basic singing for theatre and choral techniques to students age 8-18. In addition, I designed and taught original class curricula for the year-round weekend class offering ("Theatre Store"), including Long-Form Improvisation, Improvisational Comedy, Voice for the Actor, "A Caveman's Guide to Music," and Opera Appreciation.In addition, I composed original music and music-directed productions for TBA's Mainstage Season (including "A Year With Frog and Toad," and "The Sound of Music").
