Justin is a registered California Geotechnical Engineer whose primary practice is the investigation, evaluation, and remediation of earth structures for water storage and conveyance. For over 20 years Justin has evaluated dozens of small to large earth dams and levees for long-term stability, seepage potential, and seismic deformation risk. He has extensive experience and proficiency with contemporary analysis software and state-of-practice analysis methods to evaluate the cyclic behavior of soils and their effect on critical structures, including water conveyance structures associated with nuclear power plants, hydro-generation, and other energy-producing facilities. Nearly all projects under Justin charge are subject to state and federal regulatory review.Justin's general areas of expertise include: geotechnical subsurface investigations, site-specific seismic response analyses, slope stability analyses and general earthquake engineering of earth structures. His responsibilities have included: identifying and analyzing potential hazards associated with earthquake-induced liquefaction, including differential settlement and lateral spreading; identifying and analyzing potential hazards associated with long-term settlement of soft, compressible soils; running computer models to predict slope stability, and shallow and deep foundation design capacities; He is fluent in American Sign Language.Justin is also co-founder of JPSquare.com, a mobile app development company whose main focus is producing fun, casual games to a wide demographic audience.
