Justin Ping founded RFV Architects in 2022 with the simple mission of delivering high-quality, high-performance buildings to clients who value design innovation and technical expertise. Justin has over 10 years of experience as a practicing architect and has designed dozens of projects in the Roaring Fork Valley (RFV) and beyond.Prior to starting his own practice, Justin began his career at HOK, one of the largest architecture firms in the world. Between 2015-2018, Justin helped design and deliver over one million square feet of commercial office space in NYC, with additional projects in Dallas and Los Angeles. Notably, Justin led the construction administration of the interior fit-out of GroupM’s global headquarters at 3 World Trade Center, working on-site for nearly two years.After moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2018, Justin joined CCY Architects as an architect and project manager. Here, he helped lead the design and technical documentation of several custom, high-end residences in Aspen and Telluride, in addition to several mixed-use, multifamily residential and hospitality projects. While at CCY, Justin spearheaded the authorship and implementation of the firm’s first Sustainable Action Plan, a strategic document intended to improve the level of sustainability of future projects.Justin holds a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelors of Art in Architecture from Miami University (OH). His is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a LEED Green Associate, a WELL Accredited Professional, and is a licensed architect in the State of Colorado and the State of Montana. He also serves on the City Planning Commission in Columbia Falls, MT. As a self-professed building science nerd, Justin is passionate about ensuring all of his projects perform at the highest standard - that his buildings are healthy and comfortable for occupants, and that they will stand the test of time. With experience designing for net-zero energy use and LEED standards, Justin is an advocate for sustainability in the built environment.Outside of work, Justin enjoys mountain biking, trail running, skiing, and fly fishing - or simply camping and hiking with his wife and their two dogs.
