Corrosion Technician
Current☑ Brownfield Agreement Oversight: Successfully ensured compliance with agreement requirements during expansion projects, establishing trust and resolving any infractions by engaging the Person In Charge (PIC) and developing actionable solutions. ☑ Gas Handling for New Construction Tie-Ins: Developed and executed gas handling/isolation procedures, overseeing the process and resolving issues to ensure safety and project continuity.☑ Integrity Excavation on Challenging Slope: Led a two-year excavation project involving the removal of 325,000 m3 of material on a 47 degree slope with overhanging unstable rock, employing meticulous planning and a 20-person crew to achieve a safe and successful outcome.☑ Oversee; manage multiple contractors at the same time and the associated contract values.☑ Work as a Client Operations Representative for tie-ins and brownfield encroachment on Capital Expansion Projects such as Jackfish North, Jackfish South, Wynwood, High Pine North and High Pine south.☑ Assist Acuren with the integrity assessments of corrosion, SCC and dents.☑ Worked with ice engineers to create safe work platforms on extremely wet excavations.☑ Assist with operations integrity dig programs; access, grade, excavating live process lines, backfill, compaction and clean up.☑ Develop procedures for Pipeline / Station outages; supervise manpower, contractors, schedules, and timelines. ☑ Schedule/oversee line drying operations and oversee/assist with the line purging process.☑ Work collaboratively with the measurement technicians to achieve the required dew point.☑ Develop LOTO procedures.☑ Assist with valve servicing and cleaning tool runs prior to outages.☑ Complete corrosion dig program estimates for the required tools, equipment, and manpower.☑ Work with decommissioning compressor stations and dead legs on pipeline segments. ☑ Entrusted to complete washout and revetment projects, vegetation management, and pipe recoat projects.
