I have successfully transitioned into the civilian workforce after being an Army Officer for the past 25 years culminating in positions as a Director (Battalion Commander) and Senior Manager (Department Head at the University of Tennessee Army ROTC). After multiple moves to different countries and different parts of the U.S. serving in a variety of positions, I am ready to provide more stability and predictability to my wife and our four school-aged daughters in Knoxville, TN.With my experience and skills developed over the last 25 years, I know I can be successful and make an impact in project management, business development, operations management or recruiting/talent management. I have been fiercely committed to the organizations and people that I've had the pleasure to serve in my Army professional career, and I believe the reliability, commitment and development to my new company will benefit from my years of experience. I developed strong communication, solution-management and relationship management skillsets through my career in the Army. Unquestionably, the Army is a highly functioning team-based organization where I've had the opportunity to build many successful teams and develop individuals' opportunity. I greatly enjoy building cross-functional teams in order to accomplish missions/projects and my enjoyment here is only exceeded by coaching others and assisting them in their professional development opportunities. I remain positive, focused and goal-oriented through challenging projects finding solutions to meet goals and develop the team along the way. My family remains a huge priority for me in the second half of my professional career. Hence, the focus on staying in Knoxville, TN to continue their stability, happiness and growth. We have found great community here for my wife and I along with our four daughters through church, volunteer organizations, sports and the Veteran community. We have mountains, lakes, fishing, hiking, great weather and can get to the beaches fairly easily - we basically have it all. I continue to search for more rich connections, broader networks, and challenging opportunities in order to make a positive impact through employment, in my community and within my family.
