This was a great outcome, keeping train availability afloat, and keeping people moving on Bombardier trains at a world-stage event.- Achieved more than 50% scope reduction in Event Recorder routine testing (from an unnecessary level) to align with the actual requirement from both a technical and regulation perspective, thus cutting the number of man hours required for testing in half.- Conducted fault finding and re-occurring train system failure investigations to find root cause across highly technical train electrical equipment, including faulty power/brake controllers, brake computer power modules, gearbox speed sensors, transformer and converter sub-system components.- Became sufficient using several maintenance programs to remotely download train data for real time diagnosis and fault analysis.- Trialed, implemented, and provided process improvement support on train software updates rolled-out across the fleet, to improve the electrical system performance across the fleet.- Project management of change out of Main Transformer Oil Pump on a faulty unit.
