My role oversees and coordinates the essential components of academic and administrative assessment and planning at the university, which includes but is not limited to - working with academic departments, especially the department chairs and college deans, to develop learning outcomes; mapping their respective curricula; planning, implementing, and analyzing assessment measures; directing the Academic Program Review and 5-year Academic Plan cycle; managing compliance to accountability requirements regarding assessment reporting; coordinating strategic planning efforts; and building, administering, and analyzing many surveys and course evaluations for all relevant university stakeholders. We adhere to an Institutional Effectiveness plan and, in conjunction with Institutional Research, help the university to achieve its strategic goals and advance the mission.

I call alumni, parents of students, and leadership annual givers to Emory University in order to raise funding for the university's college, graduate schools, hospital, cancer institute, libraries, museum, and its many endowments. I also help facilitate the relationship between the alumnus and the university by updating pertinent contact and employment information, as well as providing notes of help or concern to the university.

I met with a group of 4 to 10 prospective students and other guests once each week and provided a brief survey of life on campus for students at Candler School of Theology, which included a tour and ample time for helpful conversation over lunch. In addition, I made calls to prospective and accepted students to ask about decisions to attend Candler and even congratulate some students on their scholarship awards. The student ambassadors also assisted in prospective student dinners and orientations events.
