I was a staff of one for a twice weekly publication. I covered nine high schools with Waverly-Shell Rock as the main focus, plus I covered Wartburg College athletics. I planned out each section and laid out the sports section for each paper. I took photos for all of the events that I covered.

Pine Bluff, Ark.

I was one of three sports reporters and we covered 10 high schools with the four Pine Bluff high schools as the primary focus. I was the beat writer for the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff women's basketball and baseball teams and the beat writer for the University of Arkansas-Monticello football team. I laid out pages three to four times a week.

I was one of three sports reporters who helped cover 31 high schools in our coverage area. I assisted in coverage for Dakota Wesleyan University. I took photos of the events I covered and laid out pages three to four days a week.

I started as a part-timer at the P&D in the sports department and their coverage area included 30 high schools to go along with coverage for the University of South Dakota and Mount Marty College. Their coverage area stretched into Nebraska. I later hired on full time as a news reporter for both the P&D and their sister paper, the Vermillion Plain Talk. I laid out pages four to five days a week for the news section for the P&D.
