 Planning and leading Information evenings and other relevant events for students and parents in the sub-school  Scheduling, planning and leading assemblies and seminars for the sub-school, House/specific year levels  Ongoing celebration of student achievement throughout the year and including Presentation Night (Year 10 & 11) and Valedictory night (Year 12)  Supporting and challenging all to achieve their learning potential and celebrate student achievement, throughout the year  Ensuring that students take responsibility for their learning and attendance  Planning and overseeing and managing course counselling and course selection process  Ensure that students feel safe and connected to peers  Ensuring students take responsibility for their academic performance, organisational and study habits, appearance and behaviour and compliance with school rules including uniform, punctuality,  attendance (including enforcing the out of bounds rules)  Providing appropriate intervention including the application of consequences such as detentions and suspensions.  Maintaining accurate records of interventions with students, parents and staff  Communicating effectively and in a timely manner, with staff, students and families to support student learning Lead the development, implementation and operation of House events including debating, chorals and Sports Carnivals with the PE staff  Support student leaders in the development of inter-house programs to improve student connectedness within and across year levels (involvement in House competitions, House identity (physical and online) across the school.  Support student leaders to generate electronic content available on Moodle/Newsletter that documents House activities for the school community.  Build learning community by promoting students within Houses to collaborate and support one another in the learning process within and outside the classroom.

Leading Learning  Lead the Teaching and Learning Team in meeting specific goals, particularly relating to improving student outcomes as measured by AusVELs, VCE, VET and VCAL results and specifically in: o The use of student data to differentiate learning o The development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of curriculum programs o Providing learning challenges and support appropriate for all students o Ensuring all Teaching and Learning courses of study for all subjects are documented and up to date o Ensuring that all staff comply with school expectations regarding teaching and learning as articulated in the Learning Statement and Learning Landscape  Optimise student learning outcomes through leading the allocation of teaching allotments in consultation with team members  Contribute actively to the Strategic Learning Team and lead the implementation of decisions  Lead and represent the Teaching and Learning Team at relevant school events Leading the Team  Lead the Teaching and Learning Team in collaboration with the Learning Landscape Leaders in developing :- o Excellent understanding of assessment and reporting practices and programs o Staff skills in the use of eLearning in teaching and learning programs o Collaborative practice through negotiation of groupings within the Teaching and Learning Team o Relevant and timely support for graduate, new, and other staff in need of support in the Teaching and Learning Team o High performing teams which achieve agreed goals, and meet accountability measures  Assist in managing the personal and professional wellbeing of staff members Managerial Leadership  Assume overall responsibility for budgets, resources and submissions for funding. This includes the preparation of annual budgets, responsibility for ordering resources and overseeing the maintenance program of facilities and equipment.
