This is where my career started in the Steel industry. Worked hard to gain new skills and experience within the business. Early duties were mainly banding, weighing, booking in finishing products and loading vehicles. I also gain experiences in operating machinery like guillotines and blanking lines. I was given an opportunity by Charles Paget my manager at the time. It was to be trained in setting and operating slitting lines. I received training on two slitting lines one was a Bronx (light gauge)and the other was a Nova (heavy gauge). I would like to thank my trainers Paul Smith, Ian Dunn and Simon Eaton who’s knowledge and experience was second to none.
