ACCREDITATION• Ensures mental health and primary care/dental accreditation under The Joint Commission. Maintains other accreditations with CARF International, CMS, HRSA, Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addictions, and the Indiana State Department of Health.• Conducts an annual gap analysis that identifies areas of noncompliance with accreditation standards, and then generates quality improvement projects that will close the identified gaps.• As co-chair of Safety Committee, collects and trends internal and external data in order to develop risk assessments, goals, and annual management plans for eight designated risk areas.QUALITY IMPROVEMENT• Supervises a team of QI Coordinator staff.• Collaborates with clinical teams each fiscal year to develop process and outcome indicators intended to improve performance on identified opportunities for improvement. Develops and manages data reporting dashboards to enable supervisors to report on their progress. Maintains an agency Quality Improvement Plan with annual updates.• Convenes and directs Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) teams to proactively address high risk processes, along with Root Cause Analysis projects to prevent adverse events from recurring. • Prepares a quarterly quality improvement report containing eight sub-reports, and presents relevant QI/accreditation information to agency leadership and the Board of Directors.PROPOSALS• Serves as chief architect of responses to RFP / RFI from state, federal, and foundation grant makers, often working on multiple proposals at once. Compiles and synthesizes information provided by subject matter experts and/or through research. Coordinates with finance staff to develop budgets and budget narratives. Total funding personally secured through winning proposals is $11,453,285. • After receiving a funding award, coordinates with funder and with the project team to ensure that all required compliance activities are understood and properly executed.

• Pursued opportunities for collaboration by making contacts within Northwest Indiana nonprofit community.• Participated in educational meetings and conferences as a member of the Grant Professionals Association in two chapters.• Completed various writing projects, including monthly articles for local newspapers and a twice-annual agency newsletter.• Gathered and trended data for various clinical and operations teams.• Served as a writer and reviewer of policies and procedures, and developed educational materials to help staff use our PolicyTech software.
