When I became a backend engineer, I garnered a new thirst for understanding and working with technology. I thrive when challenged with “unsolvable” problems, as attention to details, working through a jungle of code, and research skills are some of my strong suits. I have a strong foundation of problem solving and working in reverse from my many years as a mechanic. As a graduate of the Turing coding programs, I have learned and worked with many products, such as, Ruby, RESTful API’s, Ruby on Rails, and Test Driven Development. I am a huge team player, and find that I fit in the leadership role easily due in part to my years in the Army, building camaraderie and finding each individual's strong suit to achieve collective success. When I'm not immersed in code, you'll likely find me unwinding amidst nature's beauty, whether casting a line on a tranquil lake with my faithful canine companion or exploring rugged terrain on my motorcycle or mountain bike. However, one thing you'll never catch me doing is eating asparagus – that's where I draw the line! I'm excited to continue pushing boundaries, solving problems, and contributing to transformative technological advancements alongside like-minded innovators.
