Embarking on the entrepreneurial path, I founded my own venture subsequent to a rewarding tenure at Schubert Enterprises, leveraging invaluable insights gained to sculpt my own enterprise.Under the banner of H&V, our focus sharpens on the niche domains of residential plumbing and excavation. As the owner and operator, I personally undertook a multifaceted role, seamlessly managing billing processes, spearheading client acquisition initiatives, fostering robust customer relations, meticulously handling estimating tasks, overseeing the intricacies of accounting and budgeting, and actively participating in the hands-on aspects of excavation and plumbing. This holistic approach ensured the comprehensive success and operational excellence of H&V.

I enlisted in the military to have flexibility in pursuing my education but eventually chose to enter the field of construction. Currently, I serve as a truck driver in the Army National Guard, where my duties encompass tasks such as equipment maintenance, hauling various types of equipment and vehicles, and transporting hazardous materials.

During my tenure at this esteemed company, my journey began as a day laborer specializing in framing houses, evolving into a pivotal role as a project manager overseeing a remarkable portfolio of five diverse projects concurrently.This dynamic array included two spec homes valued at around $300,000 each and two custom home projects exceeding the million-dollar mark. In addition to hands-on project management, my responsibilities extended to engaging with prospective clients, crafting comprehensive proposals, meticulously preparing and submitting estimates, invoices, and the orchestration of meetings with subcontractors. I adeptly navigated the intricacies of negotiating pricing, interfacing with building inspectors, and cultivating relationships with suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
