Justin Vandever is a registered professional Civil Engineer in the State of California and a coastal/water resources engineer with seventeen years of consulting experience in coastal and marine science, engineering, restoration design, water resources, and climate change adaptation. He is AECOM's West Region Sustainable Legacies Service Lead for Strengthening Climate Resilience, the climate change business development lead for AECOM's Flood Risk Solutions business unit, and serves as the Climate Change Subject Matter Expert for the Compass PTS Joint Venture, providing production and technical services to FEMA. In 2021, Mr. Vandever was appointed to serve as a coastal engineer reviewer on the San Francisco Bay Conversation and Development Commission's Engineering Criteria Review Board and has served as a grant reviewer for the Chesapeake Bay Trust's Pooled Monitoring Initiative’s Restoration Research Award Program and U.S. Coastal Research Program. He has a diverse educational background in civil and coastal engineering, hydraulics, estuarine and coastal oceanography, and geology.
