As a server here, my duties include: greeting guests in a friendly manner, expediting food and beverage to guests in a timely manner, handling payments (sometimes multiple ones in the forms of cash or a credit card), seating arrangements, answering phone calls, taking messages for our owner, organizing reservations and booking large private parties, inventory of linens for the entire restaurtant, etc. What I am truly passionate about at my job is planning private events. In this position, I am capable at: meeting with clients their first time here, presenting and aiding them in picking a menu for their special event, handling large payments for said event in the forms of cash, check or credit card, acting as a liaison between the customer and the kitchen to expedite food as timely as possible, ensuring the guests have an enjoyable experience, delegating tasks to fellow coworkers, maintaining the timing of all goings on at the event, receiving payment from the guest and distributing gratuity to the staff working the event.
