Passionate educator, athletic director, and dual masters candidate, I bring a unique perspective to the world of health, physical education, and sports management. Leveraging my firsthand experience as a former college athlete, I am committed to enhancing the academic success of young athletes, particularly focusing on the impact of sports participation on academic achievement among black athletes.In my current role as a PE Teacher and Athletic Director, I’m dedicated to nurturing an environment that values physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while ensuring each student realizes their athletic potential.Outside of academia, I’ve been fortunate to serve the Philadelphia community as the founder of a nonprofit organization, positively impacting hundreds of young lives. As I advance in my career, my goal is to continue this trajectory, emphasizing the vital intersection of sports, education, and community service.Currently penning my thesis in the field of health, PE, and sports management, I’m eager to apply these findings to inspire, uplift, and transform the future of athletics in K-12 education.
