As CSO/CTO, I spearheaded the delivery of science, R&D, and innovation strategies underpinning the company’s pioneering food technology platform. From a product development standpoint, I led the team that invented the foundational technology supporting the MushroomRoot product line – a first-of-its-kind meat alternative that combined nutrient density with best-in-class cost economics to support scale-up from zero to 8-figure revenues in just 12 months with retail distribution at 3600+ outlets nationwide. Emergy LLC was founded as a mission-driven research organization that conceived, designed and developed new product innovations across industries. Once products found product-market fit and a path to monetization, they were spun off and staffed with capable teams to drive scale-up and growth.As CTO, my leadership entailed:► Development of the R&D plan and programs with leadership of a team of 5 across multiple projects including the development of new water filter materials, mining materials, thermal management materials, and energy storage materials► Creation and execution of licensing agreements, partnerships and public/private research agreements► Grant-writing to win $2M of non-dilutive funding

Research Areas: Solid sulfide electrolytes including electrolyte synthesis, active material development, fundamental charge transfer analyses, battery construction and operation.Made successful breakthroughs with lithium metal dendrite inhibition and solid electrolyte processing.

Served as the Implementation Lead for the STARS reactor alliance to apply industry initiatives and standardize license renewal implementation activities at all 7 power plants.

Collaborated with plant design and system engineers to respond to Nuclear Regulatory Commission requests for additional information on licensing basis of critical plant operating systems.
