Responsible for the management, mentoring and motivation of the interpretation team while leading and directing their work schedules within defined budgets .Key Responsibilities:- Development of graphic, multimedia and other signage material to enhance the visitor experience and facilitate learning objectives.- Recruitment, training and retention of qualified staff capable of delivering best practice thematic interpretation.- Building relationships with internal/external partners in order to facilitate the Breed, Rescue, Protect model aligned to the business.- Delivery of innovative visitor experiences to empower guests to forge personal connections with marine wildlife and inspire them to act on their behalf.

Responsible for the development and delivery of formal, informal and impromptu presentations about the animals on display and the key conservation issues they face. Key Responsibilities:- Direction of visitors through the aquarium and its four 'Amazing Worlds to Discover.'- Development of script and prop material for scheduled talks on several flagship animal groups including sharks, sea horses and sub Antarctic penguins.- Staffing of discovery tables and the interpretation of items presented including shells, eggs, and dried or live specimens.- Preparation of captive animal diets for the 'River to Reef' and 'Coral Atoll' displays and token feeding of the inhabitants during presentations in order to maximize the visitor experience.

Responsible for the husbandry and interpretation of several raptorial bird species including, but not limited to, Wedge-Tailed Eagle, Australian Kestrel, Peregrine Falcon, Whistling Kite & Black Breasted Buzzard. Key Responsibilities: - Day-to-day care of collection including health, nutrition, protection, welfare and exhibitory. - Delivery of education programs to allow people to connect with wildlife and foster an understanding of the major conservation issues faced by Australia’s unique birds of prey. - Employment of falconry techniques as a method of hazing and controlling pest species at airports, factories and major sporting events. - Accurate record keeping of collection through database entry programs and staff communication logs.

Responsible for the husbandry of several primate species including but not limited to Western Lowland Gorilla, Black and White Ruffed Lemur, Lion Tailed Macaque and Pygmy Marmoset.Key Responsibilities:- Day-to-day care of gorilla bachelor group including cleaning, nutrition, protection, welfare and exhibitory.-Facilitation and delivery of enrichment program including preparation of browse, scattering/hiding of food items and liaising with volunteers. -Preparation of captive animal diets with consideration of the specific nutritional requirements for individual animals including a diabetic White Cheeked Gibbon, an oligodontic Ebony Leaf Langur and a Western Lowland Gorilla with peanut hypersensitivity.-Training of animals (at an introductory level) in order to get a Pygmy Marmoset to station for weight checks and a silverback Gorilla to accept medication in anticipation for E.U.A.

Responsible for the husbandry of the campus’ native and exotic wildlife collection including varieties of invertebrate, fish, bird, reptile and mammal. Key Responsibilities:- Day-to-day care of animal collection including nutrition, protection, welfare, exhibitory and behavioral enrichment.- Preparation of captive animal diets with consideration of the specific nutritional requirements for different dietary groups. Extra Duties; ordering for and stocking of food store/kitchen, breeding and humane euthanasia of food animals, and harvesting of browse plantations.- Accurate record keeping of collection through the Animal Record Keeping System (ARKS) and staff communication logs.- Undertake training/education where necessary including industry recognized qualifications (e.g. Certificate III Captive Animals), seminars (e.g. Natural Encounters Inc.© training series) and OHS workshops (e.g. Etorphine protocol).

Responsible for the husbandry of the aquarium’s predatory marine invertebrate, mollusc, fish, and mammalian groups. Key Responsibilities:- Day-to-day care of fish stock including nutrition, protection, welfare and exhibitory of display groups.- Analysis of water chemistry including testing for pH, dissolved O2 and CO2 levels as well as maintenance of equipment including heaters, filters and protein skimmers.- Interpretation of marine diversity and adaptation through planned and impromptu keeper talks at touch pools and larger displays.-Facilitation of staff and students from the University of Hawaii and the NMFS in the mark/recapture of Hawaiian Monk seals in the wild.

Responsible for the husbandry of several mammalian families including Felidae, Canidae, Ursidae, Viverridae, Elephantidae, Rhinocerotidae, Equidae and Cercopithecidae. Key Responsibilities:- Day-to-day care of animal collection including nutrition, protection, welfare and behavioral enrichment.- Public education of key conservation issues through keeper talks on several endangered and threatened species including White Rhinoceros, Lion, Cheetah, Pygmy Hippopotamus and Bengal Tiger.- Token feeding of Carnivora designed to motivate animals closer to visitors thereby maximizing the viewing experience.- Behavioral observation and record of relevant species.

Responsible for the husbandry of wild Asiatic black bears (moon bears) confiscated from illegal farms throughout the country.Key Responsibilities:- Day-to-day care of animal collection including nutrition, protection and welfare of nearly 200 rescued bears, 15 dogs and 11 Rhesus Macaques.- Education of public of the legalities of bear bile farming and the welfare issues associated with its practice.- Facilitation of veterinary staff in animal collection and health-care, where necessary.

Responsible for breeding, keeping and display of 36 species of bird endemic to regions of South East Asia and Australia including Cassowary and Javan Myna. Key Responsibilities:- Day-to-day care of bird collection including cleaning, nutrition, protection, welfare and exhibitory.- Delivery of Enrichment Programs (as well as conservation messages) through scheduled free flight bird shows.- Bird Training at an advanced level including falconry and hawking of raptorial species at artificial stimuli.- Facilitation of Conservation Initiatives including husbandry, breeding and release of a number of species including Pesquet’s Parrot and the Green Peafowl.
