- While working on the GTIMS project with the U.S. Air Force, I have had the opportunity to provide remote training to hundreds of users across the world. These training sessions have covered technical tasks, and by leveraging various forms of technology, saving hundreds of man-hours and tens of thousands of dollars in airfare. - I coordinate with customers on current and future needs to design the GTIMS software suite to best meet their requirements and simplify usage. To maximize benefits to the users, the software may need to be tweaked or simply reconfigured using available options and I can provide answers and training. When current software is unable to meet their needs, I work with users and programmers to best configure the software, while trying to find the least expensive option and save money for all parties involved.- Implementing a new training program within the software suite, I work with existing users around the world to transfer their current tracking method of training to a digital format. Significant data entry, auditing, and coordination are standardizing training and improving mission effectiveness across the Air Force while decreasing errors and time spent in tracking the training.- Finally, in a database with 30,000 users, frequent audits must be conducted to protect secure information, prevent vulnerabilities, and provide accurate data to decision-makers. I conduct these audits and verify with information owners who require access, and what level of access they require.

- In this position, I was responsible for implementing a software suite that streamlines data delivery and tracking. I conducted initial and reoccurring training for 800 local users on a program with more lines of code than Microsoft Office. Extensive training was required to transition from paper and electronic formats to a single suite that touches almost every area of flight operations in the U.S. Air Force.- During implementation, I identified several firewall and network modifications that were required to allow secure communication from within the local network to the remote databases. These modifications were detailed and submitted to another department responsible for maintaining network security and accepted without modification.- After initial implementation, I provided high-quality customer support, troubleshooting, and training to users. Training was conducted in person, over the phone, across internet broadcast software, writing scripts for training videos, and by developing step-by-step guides with detailed pictures of required actions.- To provide continued support, I installed and configured the software on thousands of computers across the Fairchild AFB network. Quarterly software updates were installed using PowerShell, Windows Command Prompt, Remote Desktop, and Windows Installer as needed. Additionally, I investigated hardware and software issues to provide solutions when available and coordinated with the software vendor's designers when required to best cater to the customer's needs.

- In this position I was provided with all requests for air support for the Afghan Air Force in my area of responsibility (approx. 1/3rd of the country's land area) create a comprehensive plan to support as many as possible and prioritize those that were not supported. I then provided this plan to local leadership for both the Afghan and U.S. Air Forces for approval. In this time I was entrusted with utilizing $136 million of capital equipment to further the interests of NATO forces in a war-torn country. - In the training oriented unit, and I was responsible for tracking training for 60 NATO and Afghan Air Force aircrew members. With the Afghan's limited technological experience, I was forced to think outside of the box and create a new process they could utilize and maintain in the future. After renovating the process, I trained several Afghans to maintain the products to allow their leadership to see mission capabilities. - While advising the Afghan Air Force with the U.S. Air Force I had the opportunity to mentor 10 Afghans on a range of skills that Americans often expect from employees. Due to cultural differences, expectations are very different, and I was responsible for finding these missing pieces and addressing them without offending anyone. Big areas of focus included work ethic, anticipating needs of the organization, and how to prioritize tasks to allow continued operations after U.S. withdrawal.- Lastly, I was tasked to maintain a 5,000 sqft joint U.S./NATO/Afghan facilities in a challenging environment despite a shoestring budget. In the natural environment this required frequent outside the box planning to ensure the facility was operational for years to come without exceeding the extremely limited resources I had available.

- After taking over the office, I completed an audit and found annual record maintenance had not been completed in several years. To best track the 2 million annual flight hours and comply with public law, I created a new file system that simplified access and storage of all required documents. As law required forms to be maintained for 56 years, many had to be shipped to a larger storage facility. Later inspections revealed 100% accountability of required documentation. - Authorization and auditing of annual incentive pays totaling $4.8 million per year was conducted with zero errors found during inspections by outside agencies. To continue the error free program I put forth extensive effort in training to subordinates on conducting verification and authorization of payments. By devoting resources to training early on, this prevented future errors and allowed focusing available manpower on other tasks.- My office supported 900 current and future Air Force leaders by keeping track of their current and previous qualifications, complete flight history, incentive pay history, and additional items required by public law. Due to flawless program we were recognized by the major command as the top performing large team for 2011.

- This position placed me in a unique role providing a wide range of support to one of the U.S. Air Force's premier combat rescue units. Primarily I tracked all flight and training requirements for the 41 personnel assigned, but due to my success on that, I was given additional opportunities to support the mission. I was tasked with maintaining an inventory of various gear used in a wide variety of rescue operations valued at nearly $20 million. - Based on my familiarity with the mission set and items maintained, my position was expanded to include ordering new and replacement supplies with a $2.1 million annual budget. Extensive research was required to order the products that would meet the needs of special operations while not costing more than necessary to ensure all items needed throughout the year could be purchased. Delivery sites often had to get in the hands of forces on location, this required planning as locations spanned the area from the west coast of the Americas to the western African coast.- Due to the turnover nature of the military, my entire office was reassigned and new personnel took over in a 3 month period. I trained all new personnel in the unique and complex job requirements before departing with no interruption in core office requirements.

- As a junior member, I worked front line with customers, providing daily advice on potential career paths and analyzed cost benefits for job selection and career advancement. I performed meticulous audits of customer's career history to ensure all data was up to date and correct allowing the best possible career counseling.- My outstanding customer service caught the eye of my supervision and they requested I develop a training program for new personnel on customer service techniques. Customer service complaints dropped 80% after implementation of new procedures.
