I started working at the Ravenswood facility in November 2005 as a Carpenter - Painter - Mason (CPM). I worked that position for 5 years where we maintain cast house needs and plant wide maintenance. I worked that position for 5 years where we maintain cast house needs and plant wide maintenance. I then took over as the supervisor for the CPM's where my duties where to maintain stocked inventory needs for daily work and break downs which included refractory, lumber and paint, coordinate job activities with production needs, schedule contractors and service contracts, obtain bids from vendors, plan and manage department work which included the whole plant, and manage crew. I attended a 4 year apprenticeship program then earned my journeyman status. I performed various jobs from interior work (metal studs, drywall, acoustical ceilings and more) mainly in and around Columbus, to bridge and concrete structure work, to large scale scaffolding projects in power and chemical plants.
