My time at Block Companies taught me how to develop and execute projects successfully when government funding and additional compliance scrutiny are involved. Projects and correspondence required record keeping, contractor selection and standards of procedures, all of which on a meticulous scale.This experience translated well to what I do now because it forced me to become comfortable with compliance scrutiny, in an effort to further protect clients and behave in their best interest.

AHC compounded on the leadership skills I had obtained from Kiewit. Here I learned how to communicate pertinent details between laborers, team members, supervisors, consultants, owners and investors. It was during this time that I also acquired skills in procurement, budgeting, scheduling, project management and deliverables by managing 3 overlapping projects over the course of 5 months. This role prepared me on how to take an idea or goal from inception to close out and monitoring while accounting for unforeseen variables. Through this experience, I am more equipped to guide a client through their financial road map.

I created, filed and tracked insurance claims for a $847MM highway project. It was here that I was exposed to leadership by leading our Operations and Maintenance (O&M) field team of 6-8 men to ensure safe road conditions. This opportunity showed me that all details matter and that every member of my client's team is important.
