Having refined my machine learning (ML) and AI skillset at the College of Information and Computer Sciences at UMass Amherst, I am now driven to unite my two passions: computer science and medicine. I love exploring applications of machine learning to healthcare and the life sciences in my work as a data scientist. I believe that AI can augment the diagnosis and treatment of illness, helping us bring care more effectively to those who need it most.As CTO at Gabwise, I shepherded our small startup through the software development process and early stages of growth as a company. I directed our team in the creation of an efficient ML-based engine to provide recommendations for large conferences and trade shows and design of user-friendly interfaces for our web and Android applications.While I have almost three years experience as a startup CTO and five years as managing partner and lead developer at an application development firm, today I have shifted my focus to machine learning and data science.
