As Vice President of Operations at AGS Custom Graphics my goal is straight forward: increase profits by reducing costs and increasing revenues. I make challenging decisions daily surrounding staffing levels, hours, shifts, scheduling conflicts, production methods, vendors, equipment standards, budgeted hourly rates, capital expenditures, pricing and more. I am able to combine situations and scenarios I recall from past experiences in my development with the input from those around me to make the decisions that are most accurately aligned with my goal. I use clear communication, motivation and direction with the work force to positively affect results, and I work closely with the management team to identify possible areas of improvement. I spend time with customers during press checks and plant tours, and I collaborate with sales to guide customer expectations and improve the overall customer experience with our company. I really enjoy what I do. Custom manufacturing leads to challenges and obstacles that a lifetime of experience couldn't replicate.
