CWA was one of the largest international nonprofit adoption agencies in the United States, having placed hundreds of children from abroad with permanent, loving families in the U.S. During my time there, my management skills were enhanced while giving oversight to the day-to-day administration of inter-country adoption programs and staff serving families adopting children from seven countries. Provided a wide-range of legal services and counsel to the Association and its affiliates, and counseled executive leadership, officers and the board of directors on a broad spectrum of legal disciplines, including nonprofit corporations and governance, tax-exempt entities, executive compensation, employment and benefits, charitable solicitation and donations, planned giving, intellectual property (copyright, trademark, right of publicity) protection and licensing, estate and probate administration, entertainment and media law, international law, real estate and contracts.
