I'm a Sr. Director of Advanced Analytics & Automation at Chick-fil-A. Currently, my team and I have the pleasure of helping to build and develop analytics teams across the company. More than anything, the best part about my job is a challenging but balanced approach to work, partnering with incredibly smart coworkers who also challenge me to be a better person daily. One of the most fun and impactful projects I have worked was the opportunity to develop the "algorithm" that we used to give free food to customers through the Chick-fil-A One App, seeing it through from idea on a literal napkin to building the automated "Algorithm" for the first customer facing version, balancing customer value, brand guardrails, and company return.When I am at my best, I'm coaching others to new career highs by helping them see the connection between their work and organizational strategy, and then boiling the specific needs down to a simple set of clarified steps. Making the potentially complex happen seamlessly. Chick-fil-A is a surprisingly innovative and creative company given its consistent and steady history. There are incredible chances to see opportunities, pursue them, and then sell the business value. It is also a very relational organization where many people work with some of their best friends, which also puts a premium in terms of work on context and people-based influence. Along with my wife, we raise 5 kids, 1 rabbit, a cat, 3 chickens, 1 parakeets, and a few beta fish. In my [greatly limited] spare time, I love to jump on the trampoline with my kids, work on house projects, and sample craft coffee.
