Hello! I am a bioinformatician and computational biologist with over 9 years of dry-lab and wet-lab experience. Additionally, I have work experience in both non-profit and government industries in a range of collaborative and leadership roles. I specialize in microbial *omics, software development, machine learning based biomarker identification, and environmental surveillance as part of my PhD thesis. My current research utilizes *omics to understand how antimicrobial resistance (AMR) spread in the one-health context by analyzing what makes an AMR gene more likely to spread from one bacteria to another, and to develop software tools to better recover AMR genes from environmental samples. Furthermore, I specialize in microbiome studies and microbial biomarker identification. Big data approaches, and high-performance/cloud-computing are actively used for analysis and development.
