Leading a team of contractors to build a modern customer UX. Responsive web application using ES6, NodeJS/Express, React/Redux, Bootstrap, JWT, MySQL, and Gulp.

• Responsible for Digabit’s single biggest priority of 2016, rebuilding the core UI in Ember. Daily activities included project management, product definition, resource allocation, stand-ups, and writing code. Successfully delivered the new UX on schedule with a team of 4-8 cross-functional engineers in 9 months.• Played a key role in securing management support for an overhaul and modernization of development practices and tools including automation of regression tests and continuous integration and deployment• Personally contributed (in Ember) to the development of key features of the new UX including user preferences, localization, and recently added items• Served as release engineer for multiple releases and automated the process of deploying Solr schema and config using Vagrant and Ansible

Developed many critical product features, including:• Geo-search capability for social media via Node/React; integrations include ESRI/ArcGIS, MapBox (Leaflet), Twitter, Instagram, and Elasticsearch backend. Supported map types included Regional (cloropleth), Heatmap, and Custom Markers.• Drag-and-drop interface for CMS-like page composition using Backbone.js• Feed Builder module that served as the core social media tracking component within the application. Allowed users to configure complex query criteria using boolean logic, built in Backbone.js. • Enhanced responsive cross-origin iframe embeds leveraging window.postMessage and pub/sub in a Backbone.js architecture

Lead UI engineer on a team servicing european directory search sites with 7M unique monthly visitors. Acted as a leader on the engineering team by spearheading initiatives to remove redundancy, coaching teammates on agile best practices, implementing code reviews, and automating common engineering tasks.
