I teamed with the ER director to create educational competencies for new hires.Daily tasks included: providing direct patient care under the supervision of the primary nursing staff, wound care, orthopedic splinting application, obtaining and interpreting vital signs, placing patients on continuous monitoring equipment, ECG interpretation, implementation of advanced triage protocols, and assisting physicians with critical procedures. I provided critical care support including: CPR, venipuncture, Foley catheter care and insertion, basic airway management, management of clinical equipment, and maintenance of sterile supplies.
