I ensure high system availability for BCBG end-users including the distribution center, merchandising, retail finance and reporting for main STS Enterprise system, Torex Retail-J and related Retail applications . Also technically plan, coordinate and implement any Retail IT related software and Enterprise hardware systems related to Merchandising, Retail Stores Point of Sale, Customer Management systems, Sales Audit and Operational systems, Planning and Allocation systems, Financial systems and Loss Prevention

- Provide support at IPNS-West, through the monitoring of over 900 UNIX and Window NT backup processes and all server problems.- Maintain and monitor Unix/NT servers with various operating systems, which include Solaris, HPUX, Dec Unix, AIX RS6000, NT 4.0 and windows W2K.- Restore lost data for system users using Veritas Netbackup, create user and group accounts, reset user passwords and monitor file system size.- Run database and OS backups using Tivoli Maestro 8.1 (Job Scheduler) by creating and maintaining jobs, schedules and calendars.- Provide resolutions to backup or user jobs that are in a failed or hung state.- Serve as key troubleshooter, collaborating with vendors to replace and repair hardware.- Maintain the Service Center application, which consist of opening, updating and closing out incidents that have occurred.- Provide executives and business units with a daily shift report of all problem encountered.

- supporting and maintaining Apache Web servers, Internet Information Services 5 (IIS 5), Tomcat application server, MS-SQL and Oracle Databases.- supporting 3 Veritas Netbackup 3.4 master servers with 30 clients in three remote locations.- Supporting hardware, maintaining patch levels on all Sun hardware and Windows and Server 2000 operating systems.- Administrating Webtrends Server and Veritas Cluster Server.- Handling issues for Ultra 5's, E250's E220R, E3500's, A5200, D1000, L280's, A1000, Dell 2550 and assorted Intel based systems.- Maintaining and supporting Network Appliance box.- Organized tape rotation and off-site tape storage with Arcus.- Position involved having a working knowledge of Solaris 2.5.1, 2.6, 2.7, DNS, TCP/IP, SSH, shell scripting.- Maintaining and updated all documentation for application install guides.- On-site Professional Service technician for client services- Maintaining and supported Visual SourceSafe (VSS) for development.

- Responsible for maintaining Netscape Enterprise 3.6, Netscape Application Server's.- Supporting and maintaining Veritas Netbackup 3.2 with Sun L11,000 tape library, scripting to automate system administration duties.- Working knowledge of Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas File System.- Maintaining hardware issues with Ultra 5's, E4500, E250 and DLT 7000 drives that reside in L11,000.

- Responsibilities included maintaining Netscape Messaging 3.6, IplanetMessaging 4.1.5, Netscape Enterprise 3.5, Netscape Collabra, Netscape Calendaring, Netscape Directory Server 3.11 and 3.12.- Maintaining the hardware that the above applications run on; Sun 220R, 420R, E3000, and E4500.- Supporting desktop and laptop issues on Windows platforms, Sun Ultra 5's and Sparc 4's.- Working knowledge of Solaris 2.5.1, 2.6, 2.7, DNS, TCP/IP, NFS, Samba, NIS, shell scripting.

- Responsibilities included handling inbound second level calls, troubleshooting Win95, Win98, and WinNT dial-up problems and networking situations.
