With a robust educational background, including a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Connecticut, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude, I am committed to providing high-quality care and support.My career began as a school social worker in both public and private high schools in North Carolina and Connecticut. I then expanded my expertise at a juvenile justice residential treatment center in Litchfield, CT, where I provided in-home family therapy and managed mental health care for juveniles. My roles included case manager, family therapist, clinical supervisor, and unit staff manager.In 2016, I joined Causeway Collaborative, a startup agency in Westport, CT, focusing on adolescent and emerging adult mental health. As a clinical social worker, I supported the agency's mission to provide evidence-based care for young men and helped build their therapeutic mentorship service.With over a decade of experience, I have treated and supported clients and families at the outpatient level. My extensive operational experience includes building the clinical supervisory process at Causeway, creating & joining the leadership team, creating the clinical mental health internship program at Causeway, and supporting the licensing and fieldwork of numerous clinicians and students. Currently, I serve as Causeway's COO, where I contribute to strategic planning and operations.In addition to my clinical work, I have taught at the graduate level at Fairfield University and the University of Connecticut. I have also coached high school boys' soccer at Fairfield Preparatory High School and served as a CrossFit L1 trainer at CrossFit KMK and CrossFit SOSF in Fairfield. I volunteer on the Trumbull & Fairfield Juvenile Review Boards (JRB).My mission is to support emerging adults and young professionals through Valiance Counseling & Coaching, a practice I own and operate in Milford, CT.
