The Regional Learning Alliance provides comprehensive facilities and support services to enhance learning and collaborative experiences that drive economic, educational, community, and workforce vitality. I am a senior executive and leader in adult education with a track record of building rich, collaborative partnerships, transformative student and guest experiences, and diverse, inclusive, affiliative work cultures. I am dedicated to developing lifelong learners and caring leaders.What I do:Develop and execute the organizational strategic plan through collaboration with the Board of Directors and senior leaders. Establish and implement all organizational policies and standard operating procedures with a process of continuous improvement. Lead staff and oversee teams (Education Services, Event and Technology Services, Sustainable Dining Program, Marketing/Business Development, Facilities, and Finance/Business Office). Create, implement, and maintain an annual budget using forecasting, financial, and accounting acumen. Oversee all capital improvements. Act as the organization’s thought leader, engaging in research, writing, and publication of contemporary expertise in adult learning strategies and the learning environment. Provide leadership and expertise to Conference and Training Center, Early Childhood Education Center, Performing Arts Academy, Tutoring Center, and Ancillary Services regarding programming, funding, operations, licensing, human resources, and strategic and financial planning. Serve as primary public advocacy official, developing relationships and promoting the organization through communication with local, regional, state, and national organizations.

Directed the Regional Learning Alliance. I managed the Learning and Conference Center with 20+ staff. Directed monthly meetings of 13 Higher Education Institution Members to develop strategy, design credit and noncredit programming, and plan membership events including an annual educational symposium and semi-annual career fairs. I consulted with member colleges and universities to identify potential, new, or the redesign of educational programs, offering instructional design and curriculum expertise for a wide variety of in-demand workforce programs. I oversaw training program for General Motors automotive technicians. Served on the Middle States Commission on Higher Education Accreditation University Sub-Committee for Related Educational Activities (Standard 13).Established RLA as a national model for collaborative workforce education by creating exceptional educational programs and events, fulfilling the organization’s mission and vision.Built partnerships resulting in design and delivery of 32 comprehensive learning and training programs meeting the continuing education demands of nearly 500 students each year.Achieved goal of making the RLA completely self-sufficient as a nonprofit in 2011.Increased organizational income by 200% during the first four years of operation through business development efforts, improving of services, and engaging within the community.Grew Conference Center from under 100 educational events to over 1,000 events in seven yearsCreated a Training Center for General Motors, providing programs to 900 automotive technicians yearly

Served as an Instructor and an Academic Advisor to over 200 students for the Undergraduate Academics Services Center (UASC) of WVU while completing my doctoral residency for Educational Psychology.

I directed and managed educational credit and noncredit courses, training, events, workshops, seminars, special events, and other programs. I managed program services, including the scheduling, negotiating, planning, coordinating, budgeting/financing, and executing of all educational events (450) for the 525-acre full-service mission-driven lifelong learning campus with over 100,000 guests per year.

I served as the senior leader, managing organizational and board members, volunteers, and teams. I was the organization’s representative on community, civic, regional, and state agencies. I directed the organization, including the supervision of staff and the creation and implementation of a diverse collection of community events, trade shows, seminars, workshops, and business education programming. I directed the organization and acted as the primary tourism professional in the county. I was responsible for the marketing, public relations, and strategic planning to attract tourism to the city and county.
