This role involved managing a team of four processing all corporate actions in the domestic market, my responsibility was to ensure timing and accuracy of all work produced and to ensure that our reporting standards meet our clients expectations. During this period of time I have assisted with the development our system through a swift upgrade, Tax Deferred unit upgrades, Stock Lending integration and ensured that all of our procedures are ready for the new financial review. In this role I liaised with the market team based in England on current issues in the market ensuring that the correct information was provided, that our accounts reconciled to both registers and client positions. In addition to normal market processing within the team I assisted with previous corporate actions that had exceeded life expectancy due to complications and queries raised by the market team.

During my two years with Chase I have gained a wide range of corporate action experience, having dealt with various issues in all of the markets that Chase are active in. My main area of expertise is centered on the UK and Irish markets. In addition to this I have been trained on the Customer Instruction desk, completions team and assisted within the enquires group. In my role within the corporate actions team my key responsibilities were to both verify and process the following:- To ensure all tasks are actioned within specific department (critical) timeframes, working to department standardoperating procedures.Organizing the team workload and my own.Monitor incoming information (including documentation, automated feeds, e-mail, agent, etc) to ensure issues areidentified at an early stage and chased for additional information. Interpret and clarify information as required. Reconcile holdings (Chase (client) to registrar/agent). Identify market claims and agree positions on loan withbrokers. Ensure all client holdings that are entitled to participate in the issue have been identified. Update client’spositions as required.Obtain instructions from clients and compile them, instructing the relevant agent banks and brokers. Answer related questions/enquires including those related to restrictions on issues for certain beneficial owners. Ensure all cash receipts and payments are processed within deadlines and share receipts processed to correct assets and accounts. Ensure outstanding cash and share entitlements are chased on an appropriate basis. Any controlled exception files to be written up.
