Field Rep/Office AssistantProfessional Document Services Jan 2007 - Aug 2008I worked for Professional Document services serving subpeonas and retrieving evidence to be used in insurance-based civil cases. My job required travel throughout Southern California in order to reach hospitals and medical offices throughout the state. I also had to occasionally subpeona individuals to make court appearances. In order to facilitate the copying and transport of evidence, I carried with me a portable scanner and laptop so that paper files and charts could be converted into .pdf format. My duties also included interaction with our clientele of Lawyers and Law Firms in the form of deliveries, customer service, and retrieval of jobs. I was also responsible for Filing their court documents for all of their Civil Cases (request for Dismissal, Rebuttal of Arguement, etc). Finally, I was responsible for the upkeep and organization of the Office. This included doing the in-house copy and filing jobs, ordering supplies, answering phones, and database management.

Throughout the course of my time there my duties explanded to include deliveries to the Management Offices, Organizing the Office Files and Hard-Copy databases, Filing and Copying of all Office Paperwork, Sorting of Office Mail, Installation and Integration of new office software and equipment, Heavy Lifting, and working the Customer Service phone lines.

Instructor/PresenterTri-County Mad Science Mar 2004 - Jun 2004The Goal of Mad Science is to teach science concepts to school-age children through entertaining and hands-on purposes. I worked as a freelance agent who would go to children's parties and school classrooms/assemblies and perform as a "Mad Scientist" doing experiements and tricks while also teaching about science concepts like electricity, matter conversion, dinosaurs, physics, and the environment. The Experiments were simple, but effective. Things like shooting off water bottle rockets, making slime, building a hover craft, and dry ice.I personally loved this job and especially enjoyed performing for, entertaining, and teaching children. However, the company pay structure was on a "per job" basis and I unfortunately had to seek something more stable to support myself.

Assistant ManagerGamestop Feb 2001 - Mar 2004This was, by-far, one of the most rewarding jobs I've had, and my first real foray in Retail. Basically, I was responsible for the upkeep and management of a major Video Game retail chain store. Once again, I started out doing general merchandising and sales work as is typical for a retail store. Then, after a few months, I was promoted to Assistant Manager. At that point, I was involved in all aspects of Store Management including Customer Service, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Merchandising, Daily Receipts, Bank Deposits, Opening and Closing of Store, Scheduling, Marketing, and Product Ordering. I learned a wealth of valuable job skills and mangement experience. I only ended up leaving because I wanted to start persueing a job path that had more room for growth (and paid more than slightly above minimum wage) -
Theatre WorkerCentury Theatres Nov 2000 - Feb 2001I applied for this job shortly after the last Theatre I worked at closed down. I was immediately put into my normal Theatre responsibilities, but on a much larger scale. I statred doing Ticket Tearing, Cleaning, Snack Bar, Restocking, and Inventory for about a month until I was put in the Box Office selling tickets and being responsible for sales (upselling, promotions, comission-based selling, information, etc). Eventually, though, I sought a better working environment, so I left upon recieving a better job at a better company. -
Theatre WorkerUnited Artists Jun 2000 - Oct 2000My first job, right out of High School. It was your usual Movie Theatre job, Since it was a small theatre, I did everything including Customer Service, Theatre Upkeep, and light Management of Staff. As well as the usual Ticket Tearing, Snack Bar Sales, Restocking, and Cleaning. After about 3 months of working, I was promoted to Supervisor and head of the Box Office where I worked exclusively until the theatre closed down.
